Happy New Year!
As the first month of 2019 is now behind us, I thought I’d take a moment to wish you a happy new year! I hope the next 11 months bring lots of happiness and prosperity to you. Market Updates
We’ve also just released our market updates for Wishart and Mansfield and have been sending these out to our clients, potential buyers and sellers and to residents of those suburbs. I’m a proud Wishart local, having grown up here and gone to school here. My team is very active in both Wishart and Mansfield, appraising and selling houses every week. What to Expect this Year
In the first half of the year we’ll see the effects of the royal commission into the banks coming into play. Likewise, the election is likely to play a big part with property prices, with negative gearing and capital gains tax being hot policy topics. Have a read of our blog post that goes into a bit more detail on this, but basically whoever wins the election will play a part in shifting property prices this year.
For now though, people are still buying and selling, and we’ve already seen new buyers coming onto the market. Always remember that if you sell and buy or buy and sell, it doesn’t matter when you decide to move as you’ll be transacting in the same market.
