The Better Education website helpfully ranks all the schools around Australia. This is especially useful when a family moves home and wants to check out the schools in the area they’re moving to. Henry Wong explains how to use this website to check a school’s ranking.
Hi, I’m Henry Wong. We’re here to have a look at how do we find out the ratings of a school or rankings? We can actually go to a website called bettereducation.com.au. Now let’s say we’re looking for the rankings of public high schools. On the left-hand side we click on school rankings, secondary, rating, Queensland. And we look at the links over here it says top Brisbane, government high schools. And we scroll down and we can see the rankings. Brisbane State High is number one, Mansfield State High is number two. We can also do the same thing as, say if you’re looking for the top private high schools in Queensland. We click on school rankings, secondary, rating, Queensland. And we look at top Brisbane, non-government high schools, so these are private schools. And we can see the rankings over here, Brisbane Grammar, Brisbane Girls Grammar and so forth.
You can also repeat this process for rankings for primary schools as well, both public as well as private. We click on school rankings over here. We’ll click on primary, rating, Queensland. And let’s say we’re looking for top Brisbane government primary schools. Click on that link, and off we go. We can see the rankings over here.
